Fire and heat. Love and Passion. A fine line. Like the cracks in the earth creating cracks in the divine, a rare gem trying to survive the harsh conditions. Millions of years. Sink or swim. And if they do make it out, they are more beautiful than the rocks, elements, chemicals, and minerals they are made out of. Much more put together than the cracks between which they are created. Burning hotter and shining brighter than the heat that binds them. And the pressure that forces its growth. Yet despite all that, an imperfect Ruby is nearly impossible to come by. The conditions in which they are created make it so that the imprint of its past is sewn beneath the surface. Fissures, cracks, inclusions, feathers, fingerprints, silk like a needle. You’d never know they are there, yet they are ingrained into the red that bleeds. Making them tough and hard. Durable. Resilient.
